Job summary

IKEA Burlington is seeking a Product Quality & Recovery Co-worker to support our store by recovering and presenting As-Is items, while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

You will need a customer-focused mindset, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced retail environment, with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive Total Rewards package.

Qualifications

• A customer-focused, commercial mindset with a drive to achieve results.
• Experience in a customer-facing retail or commercial environment.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to prioritize tasks, work efficiently, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Confidence to take initiative and work independently when needed.
• An eye for detail and an understanding of merchandising and customer behavior.
• Practical experience using hand and power tools for product assembly and maintenance.
• Knowledge of IKEA products, sustainability principles, and quality and safety standards.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems in daily work.
• The physical ability to frequently move throughout the store and safely lift products weighing up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Take necessary action on products to give them a second chance, through As-Is Selling, repackaging or spare parts management.
• Present and Sell IKEA products in As-Is using a strong commercial expression, selling these products with pride, and setting relevant prices that are attractive to customers yet still generate the best results for the business.
• Always consider the sustainability impact when deciding when and how to recover products.
• Represent and be an ambassador for product recovery, quality, and safety awareness in the unit.
• Work closely with the different functions in the unit to ensure that common working routines and processes are followed related to product quality, safety and recovery.

The starting rate/ salary for this position is 20.15 CAD
