Job summary

IKEA Burlington in Halton Region, Canada, is seeking a Product Quality & Recovery Co-Worker to support the As-Is program and product recovery processes. You will help recover products, repackage, and manage spare parts, while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Take necessary action on products to give them a second chance, through As-Is selling, repackaging or spare parts management.
  • Present and sell IKEA products in As-Is with a strong commercial expression and attractive prices for customers and business results.
  • Consider sustainability impact when recovering products.
  • Represent and be an ambassador for product quality and safety awareness in the unit.
  • Collaborate with functions in the unit to follow routines related to product quality, safety and recovery.

Job description

What you'll need to have
  • A customer-focused, commercial mindset with a drive to achieve results.
  • Experience in a customer-facing retail or commercial environment.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks, work efficiently, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence to take initiative and work independently when needed.
  • An eye for detail and an understanding of merchandising and customer behavior.
  • Practical experience using hand and power tools for product assembly and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of IKEA products, sustainability principles, and quality and safety standards.
  • Comfort using digital tools and systems in daily work.
  • The physical ability to frequently move throughout the store and safely lift products weighing up to 50 lbs.
