Job summary

Inter IKEA Systems B.V. in Burlington, Canada, is seeking a Customer Experience Co-worker I to engage customers, support both assisted and self-service purchases, and help keep our store welcoming and efficient.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience by engaging with customers in a friendly, confident, and helpful manner while supporting both assisted and self-service purchases.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient shopping environment by managing cart and stroller flow, keeping loading zones clear, and ensuring outdoor areas are clean and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Assist customers with merchandise loading, returns, and transportation of products throughout the store to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
  • Collaborate closely with warehouse and furniture pick-up teams to ensure accurate merchandise handling, order fulfillment, and inventory integrity.
  • Support store operations by disassembling AS-IS merchandise when required and reporting equipment issues promptly to management.
  • Contribute to operational goals and KPIs that drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Continuously develop product knowledge, customer service skills, and operational expertise through available learning resources.
  • Foster an inclusive, team-oriented environment that reflects IKEA's values, culture, and commitment to diversity.
  • Take initiative and support additional tasks, projects, and operational needs as required.

What you'll need to have
  • You are enthusiastic about work and working with others on a team.
  • You can prioritize, are disciplined, show initiative and have a flexible attitude.
  • You’ve worked with material handling equipment before (or are very open to learning about it!).
  • You have about 6-month work experience in a high-volume Warehouse, Retail or Customer service environment (strong preferred but not necessary).
  • You are totally cool working in a physically demanding, fast-paced, work environment where you will be lifting and moving items continuously.

The starting rate/ salary for this position is 19.1 CAD
