BrightPath Kids in Okotoks, AB invites an Early Childhood Educator to join our team and provide a warm, home-like setting for children in our care.

You will implement BrightPath’s curriculum, support child development, and engage with families to discuss progress and goals. This role emphasizes teamwork, ongoing professional development, and maintaining a clean, organized classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Early Childhood Education certification or equivalent required.
• Must meet provincial childcare employment requirements.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Immunization and health assessment per local Health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing a program aligned with BrightPath’s curriculum to support child development.
• Maintain a safe, healthy environment for children.
• Assess children’s abilities and needs; discuss progress with parents and staff.
• Establish collaborative relationships with coworkers, management, and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.

• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Early Childhood Education - Level 1, 2, or 3 Certification OR B.Ed./Equivalent
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
• Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR
• Current immunization and health assessment as per the local Minister of Health Requirements
