BrightPath Kids in Bowness, AB is hiring an Early Childhood Educator to work with teachers and families, providing a home away from home for children. Responsibilities include developing a program aligned with BrightPath’s curriculum and collaborating with staff.

This full-time role offers a pay range of $17.00–$18.00 per hour with government wage enhancement; no evenings or weekends; benefits include childcare discount, health and dental, RRSP match, paid holidays, sick days, and vacation time.

Qualifications

• ECE certification (Level 1, 2, or 3) or B.Ed./Equivalent.
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR.
• Current immunization and health assessment as per local health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement BrightPath curriculum to support children’s development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing learning environment.
• Assess children’s abilities and discuss progress with parents and staff.
• Build collaborative relationships with colleagues, management and families.
• Attend staff meetings and pursue professional development.
• Keep classroom materials clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
