Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Alberta is seeking an Early Childhood Educator - Level 2 to work alongside teachers and families, delivering a nurturing home away from home for children in our care.

You will develop and implement a BrightPath curriculum-aligned program, maintain a safe, clean learning environment, assess children’s progress, and engage families and staff in ongoing communication. This full-time role comes with a childcare discount and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• ECE Certification or equivalent required.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR required.
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing a program aligned with BrightPath’s curriculum to support child development.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
• Assessing abilities, interests, and needs of children and discussing progress with parents and staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator - Level 2 you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Early Childhood Education - Level 1, 2, or 3 Certification OR B.Ed./Equivalent
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
• Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR
• Current immunization and health assessment as per the local Minister of Health Requirements
