Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Falconridge, AB seeks an Early Childhood Educator for a casual/supply role. You’ll work with teachers and families to provide a home-like environment and deliver developmentally appropriate activities while keeping a clean, organized classroom.

Requirements include ECE Level 1–3 or B.Ed./Equivalent, First Aid and infant CPR, and up-to-date immunization/health assessment. We offer a government wage enhancement on top of hourly pay and no evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• ECE certification (Level 1, 2, or 3) or B.Ed./Equivalent is required.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Current immunization and health assessment as per local health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing a program that aligns with BrightPath curricula.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
• Assess children’s abilities and progress and discuss with parents and staff.
• Establish collaborative relationships with families and teammates.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

Responsibilities

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Early Childhood Education - Level 1, 2, or 3 Certification OR B.Ed./Equivalent
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
• Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR
