Our client is a global leader in online brokerage, and they're seeking a Public Relations Manager to join its rapidly growing Toronto-based team.

Hybrid / in-office

This role is ideal for a PR professional with a strong media network in finance and tech, looking to take ownership of PR strategy in a fast-growing fintech company. The Public Relations Manager will develop and execute comprehensive strategies, manage media relations, craft communication materials, and support crisis communications, all while collaborating cross-functionally with marketing and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement PR strategies aligned with marketing goals and budget
• Build and maintain relationships with media, particularly in finance and tech
• Write and edit press releases, speeches, and other content
• Manage crisis communication and media inquiries
• Plan and coordinate PR events and press opportunities
• Monitor media coverage and analyze campaign effectiveness

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in PR, Communications, Journalism, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in media relations or corporate communications
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Financial industry experience and connections with local media are assets
