Job summary

Bird Nason Contracting Group is seeking Local Pipefitter Journeypersons for a Dow Chemical Cogen Shutdown project with both night and day shifts available. This role involves process piping and equipment installations on an industrial site.

Responsibilities include threading, cutting, grooving, bending, and measuring piping, reading plans, and hydrostatic testing while upholding EH&S and OH&S standards. Training and career growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

  • Valid Journeyperson or Apprenticeship certificate required.
  • CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 required.
  • Fall protection and MEWP training preferred.
  • Experience on major industrial project sites.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and follow safety protocols.

Position Details

Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking Local Pipefitter Journeypersons for our project at DOW Chemical Cogen - Shutdown

Night shift and day shift available

  • Schedule Rotation: Shutdown - 12 hours
  • Benefits and RRSP Provided As Per Collective Agreement
What You Will Be Working On
  • Process piping and equipment installations
  • Threading, cutting, grooving, bending, measuring of piping
  • Working with plans and specifications to determine layout and installation requirements
  • Hydrostatic testing of installed piping systems
  • Ensuring safe work practices, EH&S processes, and OH&S compliance are followed on site
What We Are Looking For
  • Valid Journeyperson Certificate or Apprentice Certificate
  • CSTS 2020
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Fall Protection
  • MEWP
  • Confined Space
  • Fire Watch
  • Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work
  • Experience on major industrial project sites
  • The ability to lift, carry and handle weight up to 50lbs
  • Must be organized, self-driven, and have ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
