Job summary

Bird Nason Contracting Group is seeking Labourers to support trades on a project at DOW. The role involves general labour, material movement, site cleanup and assisting carpenters and operators on a 14/7 schedule with benefits and RRSP provided per the collective agreement.

Candidates should hold CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, Fall Protection and MEWP certifications, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and be organized with good instruction-following skills. Training on tools will be provided.

Qualifications

  • CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 are mandatory safety certifications.
  • Fall protection and MEWP (ESC) training is required.
  • Ability to lift, carry and handle up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be organized, self-driven and able to follow oral/written instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general labour duties to support trades and site operations.
  • Assist carpenters, equipment operators and other trades with basic tasks and material movement.
  • Conduct regular site cleanup, sweeping, debris removal, and maintaining safe walkways.
  • Handle, load and unload materials, tools and equipment.
  • Set up and dismantle temporary work areas, barricades and signage.
  • Operate basic hand tools and small equipment (training provided).
  • Support safe work practices by identifying hazards and participating in toolbox talks and hazard assessments.
  • Follow directions from Forepersons and Supervisors to ensure efficient, safe workflow.

Position Details

What You Will Be Working On
