Job summary

Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is seeking Rig Welders for our project at DOW Chemical Cogen - Shutdown.

Qualifications

  • CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 certifications are required.
  • Journeyperson Welder Certification and B-Pressure Certification (Red Seal/recognized trade ticket) are required.
  • Industrial welding experience and ability to meet production welding targets.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.
  • Extensive knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be organized, self-driven, and follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate B-Pressure welding.
  • Ensure welds meet quality standards and pass inspections.
  • Collaborate with Pipefitters, apprentices, and shop crew to maintain shop flow.
  • Mentor and guide apprentices as needed.

Position Details

Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking Rig Welders for our project at DOW Chemical Cogen - Shutdown

  • Schedule Rotation: Shutdown - 12 hours
  • Night shift and day shift available
  • Benefits and RRSP Provided As Per Collective Agreement
What You Will Be Working On
  • Perform accurate B-Pressure welding
  • Ensure welds meet quality standards and pass required inspections
  • Work collaboratively with Pipefitters, apprentices, and shop crew to maintain efficient shop flow.
  • Mentor and guide apprentices as needed.
  • Maintain safe work practices and uphold shop standards of quality, safety and efficiency.
What We are Looking For
  • CSTS 2020
  • WHMIS 2015
  • A valid Journeyperson Welder Certification and B-Pressure Certification (Red Seal/recognized trade ticket required)
  • Industrial Welding Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed production welding targets.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.
  • Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work
  • The ability to lift, carry and handle weight up to 50lbs
  • Must be organized, self-driven, and have ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
