Job summary

Dynacare is seeking a Laboratory Assistant - FLOAT to obtain quality blood samples and perform patient tests in a fast-paced setting. You will contribute to a positive team environment and ensure excellent patient experiences while maintaining data integrity and compliance.

The role supports multiple float locations across Ontario, with a permanent, part-time schedule of 15 hours per week and day shifts from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary school and a laboratory assistant training program with phlebotomy training.
• Strong customer service orientation and empathy.
• Ability to enter data accurately and adhere to SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Create an ideal customer experience that is best in class.
• Enter data for Ministry of Health requisitions accurately.
• Obtain quality blood samples using venipuncture techniques.
• Sort specimens and perform ECGs, Holter hookups, paternity, urine, drug testing and breath alcohol collections.
• Ensure specimens and documentation are complete per SOPs and ready for transport.
• Maintain confidentiality and support quality metrics and regulatory compliance.
