Dynacare is seeking a Laboratory Assistant - FLOAT in Ontario to obtain quality blood samples and conduct tests. You will support a positive team environment and ensure patient satisfaction while handling specimens and data entry per SOPs.

The role is permanent, part-time (15 hours/week), with day shifts across Peterborough, Kingston, Port Perry, Amherstview, Belleville, Northbrook and Cannington. Pay ranges from $21.00 to $24.75 per hour.

Qualifikationen

• Completed secondary school and a lab assistant training program or medical lab assistance course with phlebotomy.
• Customer-focused with genuine care for patient health.
• Demonstrate phlebotomy skills and calm anxious patients.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent English communication, both written and verbal.
• MLPAO/CSMLS certification recommended.

Aufgaben

• Create an ideal customer experience and engage with patients about products and services.
• Enter data, patient, and test information for Ministry of Health requisitions accurately.
• Obtain quality blood samples and other specimens using venipuncture per SOPs.
• Sort and steer specimens, perform ECGs, Holter hookups, urine, drug and breath tests as needed.
• Ensure documentation is complete and specimens are ready for transport to the lab.
• Maintain confidentiality and contribute to quality metrics and regulatory compliance.
