Job summary

Dynacare is hiring a Laboratory Assistant float for permanent part-time roles in Ontario. You will obtain quality blood samples and perform patient tests, while providing excellent customer service on site across Midland, Bracebridge, Huntsville, Parry Sound, Gravenhurst and surrounding areas.

The role requires phlebotomy training, strong English communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy medical lab environment. 15 hours guaranteed with a Monday–Friday shift.

Qualifications

• Secondary School completion and a Laboratory Assistant training program or Medical Lab Assistant course with phlebotomy training.
• Strong customer focus with genuine care for patient health.
• Skilled phlebotomy with ability to calm anxious patients during sample collection.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work within deadlines.
• Attention to detail and clear English communication.

Responsibilities

• Create an ideal patient experience and engage with Dynacare products and services.
• Enter data accurately for Ministry of Health requisitions.
• Obtain quality blood samples and specimens using venipuncture per Dynacare values.
• Sort specimens and perform ECGs, Holter hookups, urine, drug and breath alcohol collections.
• Ensure documentation is complete and ready for data entry and transport to the lab.
• Maintain confidentiality and contribute to quality metrics and regulatory compliance.
