Job summary

The University Health Network's Pharmacy Department at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre seeks a Temporary Full-Time Pharmacy Technician for 12 months. The role reports to the Manager and aligns with OPSEU union; hours are 37.5 per week, with days/evenings/weekends.

You will prepare prescriptions, replenish stock, maintain patient data in the pharmacy system, and complete reports. Qualifications include a Pharmacy Technician program, registration with Ontario College of Pharmacists, and strong

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Program at an accredited college or recognized equivalent.
  • Registration as a Pharmacy Technician (Part A) in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn and troubleshoot changing technologies/machinery.
  • Two years practical and related experience preferred.
  • Previous hospital experience with unit dose system and intravenous admixture service, preferred.

Wage Range: $32.32 to $37.26 per hour (start rate is non-negotiable and in accordance with collective agreement requirements)

Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week

Shifts: Mon-Fri, Days/Evenings/Weekends/Statutory Holidays/On Call

Status: Temporary Full-Time (12 Months Contract)

Position Summary

As an integral member of the Pharmacy Services Inpatient Operations Team, the Pharmacy Technician is responsible for the following:
