Job summary

The Jean Coutu Group in Quebec is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to greet customers, identify prescription needs, and assist with preparing prescriptions. You will contribute to a tidy, hygienic lab and may prep pillboxes for some patients. DEP training is an asset, and full paid training is offered. 35+ hours per week with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Be the first contact with clients and make them feel at ease.
• Identify client needs by gathering data for prescription preparation.
• Prepare prescriptions and detect potential issues for clients.
• Prepare pillboxes for some patients (PJC).
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the laboratory for smooth operation.

Responsibilities

• For some locations, prepare pillboxes.

Job description

Within your team, your essential role will be:

• Be the first contact with the clientele, so that they feel at ease; your welcome, your empathy and your professionalism will be put to good use;
• Identify the needs of the clientele by collecting the necessary data for the preparation of prescriptions;
• Prepare prescriptions and detect potential problems for the clientele;
• For some PJC, prepare pillboxes;
• Ensure the hygiene and tidiness of the laboratory in order to facilitate its proper functioning.

To hold this position, it is possible:

• Holding a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) as a Pharmacy Technical Assistance is a strong asset
