Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or complementary products.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including collecting cash, giving change, processing refunds, voids, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products in-store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and ensures merchandise is correctly priced and displayed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, assisting with prescription filling, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions. Collaborates with pharmacists to manage workflow.
- Reports prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist and follows company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Adheres to all pharmacy policies, including Good Faith Dispensing and the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communication with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Assists with pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and maintains proper documentation of inventory discrepancies.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
- Creates and maintains visual displays and assists with store resets and product placement according to policies.
- Supports store maintenance, including cleanliness and organization of the store environment.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos and promotional products, and manages web order pickups.
- Participates in store maintenance and upholding store appearance standards.
- Follows all company policies, maintains respectful coworker relationships, and completes assigned tasks.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy practices.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
