Job summary

Sobeys is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented pharmacy assistant to join our team in Oakville, Ontario. You will perform prescription data entry, process in-person and phone prescriptions, and support compounding and patient services to ensure high-quality care.

You will handle refills, manage drug orders, and assist with administrative duties to keep the pharmacy running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy assistant diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in pharmacy operations is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Here’s where you’ll have an impact:

• Prescription assembly – data entry
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions)
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
• Promote Profile programs
• Compounding
• Pill Pack Assembly
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
• BTC management
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required

What you bring to the table:

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
