Job summary

Lawtons in Canada is seeking a friendly, knowledgeable Pharmacy Assistant to join our pharmacy team. You’ll assist with prescription assembly, data entry, and processing in-person and phone refill requests while upholding patient‑centered care.

Responsibilities include compounding, pill pack assembly, filing prescriptions, ordering supplies, and supporting clinical services. A Pharmacy Assistant Diploma is preferred; prior pharmacy experience helps.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant Diploma required.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.

• Prescription assembly – data entry
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions)
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
• Promote Profile programs
• Compounding
• Pill Pack Assembly
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Schedule professional clinical services (medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
• BTC management
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required
