Job summary

Lawtons in Dartmouth, NS is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to support prescription processing and patient-centered care. You will join a collaborative pharmacy team focused on accuracy, efficiency, and service.

You will handle data entry for prescriptions, process transactions, accept refill requests, assist with compounding and inventory, and contribute to everyday pharmacy operations with a high level of professionalism.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly – data entry
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions)
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
• Promote Profile programs
• Compounding
• Pill Pack Assembly
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
• BTC management
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required
