Job summary

Save-On-Foods is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant for the University Heights Pharmacy location in Victoria, BC. You will handle prescriptions, input data, manage stock and inventory, and communicate with the pharmacist to ensure accurate billing and patient safety.

The role emphasizes a friendly, customer-focused environment with opportunities for growth, benefits eligibility, and ongoing training within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• Strong work ethic and “let’s get it done” attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receiving written prescriptions and written or verbal refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Performing all tasks related to ordering, receiving, and returning stock, expiry date checks, balance owing and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interaction and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

Compensation Details:

$19.00 - $23.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
