Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Sidney, BC is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy team in delivering patient-centred care and accurate prescription processing.

You will input prescription data, manage stock, assist with billing, and communicate with customers and the pharmacist.

We value a completed Pharmacy Assistant program or 2 years of dispensary experience, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication; competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• Strong work ethic and “let’s get it done” attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receiving written prescriptions and refill requests, inputting patient and prescription data.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Ordering, receiving, and returning stock; expiry date checks; inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interactions and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

We are hiring for a Pharmacy Assistant at our location in Sidney, BC.

You will be responsible for:

• Receiving written prescriptions and written or verbal refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Performing all tasks related to ordering, receiving, and returning stock, expiry date checks, balance owing and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interaction and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

You have:

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.

Compensation Details:

$19.00 - $23.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
