Job summary

Save-On-Foods is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant at our Panorama location in Calgary, AB. You will be part of a Western Canadian company passionate about patient-centred care and helping communities embrace healthier lifestyles.

You will perform prescription intake, stock management, and coordinate with the pharmacist to ensure accurate billing and allergy information. The role also involves merchandising and adherence to procedures, with a focus on customer service.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receiving written prescriptions and written or verbal refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Performing all tasks related to ordering, receiving, and returning stock, expiry date checks, balance owing and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interaction and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.
