Job summary

Save-On-Foods is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant for the Polson location in Vernon, BC. You will handle prescriptions, input patient data, manage stock, and assist the pharmacist with billing and allergies communications.

The position offers Friday pay, benefits, and opportunities for education and growth. Ideal candidates have completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years of dispensary experience, with strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive prescriptions and refill requests, input patient and prescription data.
• Enter information into the computer system accurately.
• Manage stock: order, receive, return, check expiry, balance owing, and inventory corrections.
• Follow merchandising, procedures and company policies.
• Communicate allergy interactions and billing details to the pharmacist.

We are hiring for a Pharmacy Assistant at our Polson location in Vernon, BC , opening soon!

You will be responsible for:

• Receiving written prescriptions and written or verbal refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Performing all tasks related to ordering, receiving, and returning stock, expiry date checks, balance owing and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interaction and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

You have:

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• A strong work ethic and “let’s get it done” attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.

Compensation Details:

$19.00 - $23.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
