Job summary

Save-On-Foods is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant at Madison Centre in Burnaby, BC. You will process prescriptions, input patient data, manage stock, and support the pharmacist with billing and communication.

Qualifications include an accredited Pharmacy Assistant program or 2 years dispensary experience, strong communication and customer service skills, and familiarity with Kroll software as an asset. Perks include weekly pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Receive written prescriptions and refill requests, input patient and prescription data into the computer.
• Input all patient and prescription information into the system accurately.
• Order, receive, store, and reconcile stock; check expiry dates and balance owing.
• Adhere to merchandising programs, procedures, and company policies.
• Communicate allergy interactions and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

You will be responsible for:

• Receiving written prescriptions and written or verbal refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Performing all tasks related to ordering, receiving, and returning stock, expiry date checks, balance owing and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interaction and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

You have:

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• A strong work ethic and "let's get it done" attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.

Compensation Details: $19.00 - $23.00 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
