Job summary

Pine Pharmacy in Powerview-Pine Falls, Manitoba, is hiring full-time Pharmacy Assistants to support pharmacists, greet customers, manage prescriptions, and help with daily operations.

Candidates should have strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills, with the ability to stand for long periods and lift boxes. Flexible availability including evenings and weekends is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with Kroll is considered an asset.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
• Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
• Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week (Full-time)
• The store operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturday from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM
• Shift schedules will vary based on operational needs, and candidates must be flexible and available to work a range of days and hours, including occasional Saturdays as required
