Job summary

Pharmasave #400 in Prince Albert, SK is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy team. You will assist pharmacists and technicians, greet customers, enter prescriptions, and help with inventory and daily operations.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of retail pharmacy experience, proficiency with Kroll data entry, and strong communication and organizational skills. Flexible hours including some weekends are required. Training and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

Job description

Pharmasave #400 is looking for a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Prince Albert-Central Ave, Saskatchewan.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
• Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
• Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy setting, with a foundational understanding of pharmacy operations and business practices.
• Highly skilled in the use of Kroll, with strong accuracy and efficiency in prescription data entry.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Schedule

• 40 hours per week.
• The store is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• This role requires working one (1) Saturday shift each month.
• 8-hour shift
