Job summary

Grand Medicine Pharmacy in Hodgson, Manitoba is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to support pharmacists and technicians in delivering patient-centered care.

You will greet customers, assist with prescriptions, manage inventory, and handle clerical tasks while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset (on-the-job training provided).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to thrive in a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy software Kroll (training provided).
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Grand Medicine Pharmacy is looking for a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Hodgson, Manitoba.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care.
• Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner.
• Assist with entering, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician.
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols.
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits.
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations.
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers.
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned.
