Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our Weyburn, Saskatchewan team. You will support pharmacists and technicians, assist with entering, labeling and packaging prescriptions, and help manage daily operations in a busy retail pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy preferred.
• Proficiency in Kroll with accurate prescription data entry.
• Understanding of Pharmacare/insurance billing processes and claims.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, team orientation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand long hours and lift boxes as needed.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

Pharmasave #416 is looking for a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Weyburn, Saskatchewan.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
• Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
• Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy witha preliminary understanding of the pharmacy business is preferred.
• Highly skilled in the use of Kroll, with strong accuracy and efficiency in prescription data entry.
• Demonstrates a solid understanding of Pharmacare/insurance billing processes and clinical services flagging.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Schedule

• 32 to 40 hours per week (Full-time)
• The store operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• Candidates must be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including opening and closing shifts, as well as weekends, to support business needs.
