Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join Hillside Family Pharmacy in Ladysmith, BC. You will support pharmacists and technicians in providing high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is preferred.
• Experience in a pharmacy is an asset; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists and technicians in patient care tasks.
• Greet customers and answer phone professionally.
• Enter, label, and package prescriptions under supervision.
• Count, measure, and package medications accurately.
• Receive, stock, rotate inventory, and assist audits.
• Maintain a clean, compliant pharmacy area; dispose of waste properly.
• Perform clerical tasks, process insurance claims and transfers.
• Support daily pharmacy operations and other duties as assigned.

Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a full‑time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Hillside Family Pharmacyin Ladysmith, BC.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities:

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high‑quality patient care
• Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
• Assist with entering, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is preferred
• Previous experience within a pharmacy is an asset (on‑the‑job training will be provided)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Kroll.
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
