Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a Part-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our Sidney, BC location.

You will support pharmacists and technicians, assist with entering, labeling and packaging prescriptions, greet customers, handle clerical tasks, and help manage inventory in a fast-paced community pharmacy.

This role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed, with a strong focus on accurate patient care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail setting preferred.
• Experience with Kroll is an asset.
• Pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift boxes.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care

• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments; monitor inventory and rotate stock

• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and other duties as assigned

Pharmasave #205 Sidney is looking for a Part-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Sidney, British Columbia.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
• Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
• Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 – 3 years experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy with a preliminary understanding of the pharmacy business is preferred.
• Proficiency with Kroll, along with a high level of accuracy and efficiency in prescription data entry, is considered an asset.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Schedule

• The store operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Scheduled shifts will fall within these hours.
