Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Pharmasave #1025 (Highway 97 & Ellis) is looking for a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our teamin Kelowna, British Columbia.

Compensation listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on the candidate's experience.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities :

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
• Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
• Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy witha preliminary understanding of the pharmacy business is preferred.
• Proficiency with Kroll, along with a high level of accuracy and efficiency in prescription data entry, is considered an asset.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week (Full-time)
• The store operates Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• Shifts will typically be scheduled within these hours.
• Candidates should be flexible and available to work daytime, afternoon, and weekend shifts as needed.
