Neighbourly Pharmacy Inc. in Victoria, BC (Pharmasave James Bay #130) is seeking an experienced, full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join the team.

You will support pharmacists and technicians, assist with prescriptions, and help maintain a patient-focused, organized environment. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in retail pharmacy, completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset, and strong data-entry skills using Kroll.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
• Skilled in using Kroll for prescription data entry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift boxes as needed.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Pharmasave James Bay #130 is looking for an experienced full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our teamin Victoria, British Columbia.

Compensation listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on the candidate's experience.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
• Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
• Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy witha preliminary understanding of the pharmacy business.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
• Skilled in using Kroll and highly accurate and efficient in prescription data entry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week (Full-time)
• The store operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Scheduled shifts will fall within these hours.
