Job summary

Pattison Food Group's Save-On-Foods in Winnipeg is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant at our Pembina location. You will receive prescriptions, input patient data, manage stock, and communicate important billing details to the pharmacist.

Join an energetic, community-focused team and contribute to quality patient-centered care. The role requires completing an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or 2 years of dispensary experience, plus strong communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receiving written prescriptions and refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Ordering, receiving, and returning stock; expiry date checks; inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interactions and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

You will be responsible for:

• Receiving written prescriptions and written or verbal refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Performing all tasks related to ordering, receiving, and returning stock, expiry date checks, balance owing and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interaction and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

You have:

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• A strong work ethic and 'let's get it done' attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.
