Job summary

Pattison Food Group, through Save-On-Foods, is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant at our Wye Road location in Sherwood Park, AB. You will input prescriptions, manage stock, and assist the pharmacist in delivering patient-centered care to the community.

The ideal candidate has completed a Pharmacy Assistant program or two years of dispensary experience, strong communication skills, and a reliable work ethic. We offer weekly pay, benefits eligibility, and opportunities for learning and advancement.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• Strong work ethic and “let’s get it done” attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receiving written prescriptions and refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Ordering, receiving, and returning stock; expiry checks and inventory corrections.
• Communicating allergy, interactions and billing information to the pharmacist.

You will be responsible for:

• Receiving written prescriptions and written or verbal refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Performing all tasks related to ordering, receiving, and returning stock, expiry date checks, balance owing and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interaction and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

You have:

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
