Job summary

Save-On-Foods Langley - Downtown location in Langley, BC, is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team delivering patient-centred care and accurate prescription processing. You will input patient and prescription data, handle stock management, assist with billing information to the pharmacist, and uphold merchandising and company policies.

A accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or 2 years dispensary experience is preferred; strong communication and customer service skills are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years dispensary experience (if you don’t have the accredited program).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receiving written prescriptions and refill requests.
• Inputting patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Managing stock: ordering, receiving, expiry checks, and inventory corrections.
• Communicating allergy, interaction and billing information to the pharmacist.

We are hiring for a Pharmacy Assistant at our Langley - Downtown location in Langley, BC.

You will be responsible for:

• Receiving written prescriptions and written or verbal refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Performing all tasks related to ordering, receiving, and returning stock, expiry date checks, balance owing and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interaction and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

You have:

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• A strong work ethic and “let’s get it done” attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.

Compensation Details:

$19.00 - $23.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
