Job summary

Nurse Next Door Home Care Services in Canada is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide in-home care and companionship. You will follow individualized care plans, support daily living activities, and ensure client safety with a focus on respectful, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience is required.
• Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written.
• Proof of Personal Support Worker Certification is required.
• Current TB screen and Criminal Record Check.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Valid driver’s license required for travel to client locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship and personal care.
• Follow the client’s care plan created by the Care Designer.
• Ensure client safety and operate equipment properly and safely.
• Complete records and documentation accurately.
• Travel to client locations in assigned areas (Stouffville, Aurora, Newmarket).
• Maintain availability for morning, afternoon, and some weekend shifts.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, and/or provide companionship and personal care
• Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer
• Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
• Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
• Must be able to travel reliably to the areas of Stouffville, Aurora, and Newmarket
• Looking for Morning and Afternoon Weekday and Weekend Availability

Requirements

• Previous Caregiving Experience
• Must be able to community verbally and in writing in English, other languages are an asset
• Proof of Personal Support Worker Certification
