Job summary

Nurse Next Door is hiring caregivers in Canada to provide in-home care with private clients in NB. You will support seniors with meals, light housekeeping, and companionship, following personalized care plans and ensuring safety at all times.

Strong English communication, prior caregiving experience, and a valid Personal Support Worker Certification are required. Travel to various client locations may be needed, with flexible morning and weekend shifts offered.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience is required.
• Must be able to communicate in English, verbally and in writing.
• Proof of Personal Support Worker Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship and personal care.
• Follow the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment; work within defined scope.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, and/or provide companionship and personal care
• Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer
• Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
• Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
• Must be able to travel reliably to the areas of Stouffville, Aurora, and Newmarket
• Looking for Morning and Afternoon Weekday and Weekend Availability

Requirements

• Previous Caregiving Experience
• Must be able to community verbally and in writing in English, other languages are an asset
• Proof of Personal Support Worker Certification
• Current TB Screen and Criminal Record Check
• Must be able to legally work in Canada to apply for this position
• Valid driver’s license is required for those driving to areas that cannot be commuted to
