Job summary

Nurse Next Door in Canada is hiring caregivers to provide meal prep, light housekeeping, companionship and personal care to private clients in home settings. You will follow the client’s care plan, ensure safety, and complete records using our Compassionate Care approach.

You will travel to areas such as Stouffville, Aurora, and Newmarket, with morning and afternoon weekday and weekend availability preferred. Join a team committed to Happier Aging and meaningful, heart-centered care.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience.
• Must communicate in English, written and spoken.
• Proof of Personal Support Worker Certification.
• TB screen and Criminal Record Check.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Valid driver’s license required for travel to certain areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship and personal care.
• Follow the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Ensure client safety and use equipment safely.
• Work within your experience and document records accurately.
• Travel reliably to Stouffville, Aurora, and Newmarket.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, and/or provide companionship and personal care
• Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer
• Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
• Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
• Must be able to travel reliably to the areas of Stouffville, Aurora, and Newmarket
• Looking for Morning and Afternoon Weekday and Weekend Availability

Requirements

• Previous Caregiving Experience
• Must be able to community verbally and in writing in English, other languages are an asset
• Proof of Personal Support Worker Certification
• Current TB Screen and Criminal Record Check
• Must be able to legally work in Canada to apply for this position
• Valid driver’s license is required for those driving to areas that cannot be commuted to
