Job summary

Nurse Next Door Home Care Services in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide in-home support, companionship and personal care to clients in the Hamilton region. Join a team dedicated to Happier Aging and meaningful, trusted care.

You'll follow care plans, meet safety needs, and help clients live independently at home. We offer flexible shifts, 24/7 scheduling support, and opportunities for professional growth within a values-driven culture of care.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience.
• English communication skills (verbal and written).
• TB Screen and Criminal Record Check required.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• PSW certificate or nursing background required.
• Valid driver’s license; vehicle is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship and personal care.
• Follow the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Meet safety needs and use equipment safely and properly.
• Work within your experience and knowledge while practicing safely.
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly.
• Serve in the Hamilton, Stoney Creek and Grimsby area.
• Support clients across visits weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, and/or provide companionship and personal care
• Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer
• Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
• Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
• Service in the Hamilton, Stoney Creek and Grimsby area
• Looking for all visit times weekdays and weekends

Requirements

• Previous caregiving experience
• Must be able to community verbally and in writing in English, other languages are an asset
• Current TB Screen and Criminal Record Check
• Must be able to legally work in Canada to apply for this position
• Valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate OR Nursing background (RPN, RN, or internationally trained nurse)
• Valid driver’s license is required, vehicle will be an asset
