Job summary

SE Health is hiring part-time day Personal Support Workers (PSW) for Community Care in Jarvis, Simcoe, Townsend and surrounding areas. Mileage and travel time will be covered, with a sign-on bonus of 2,500 CAD plus great benefits.

The role supports clients with daily living activities in the community, working days or evenings and every other weekend. SE Health is a not-for-profit social enterprise focused on health and aging.

Qualifications

• Valid PSW certificate required.
• RN or RPN credentials considered.
• Nursing students with two clinical placements are eligible.
• Diploma in Developmental Support Worker qualifications welcomed.
• Foreign-trained nurses may be considered for roles.

Qualifications accepted to work as a PSW:

• Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
• RN or RPN
• Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
• Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma
• Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse

Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work daily is required
• Meet Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB, Tetanus
• Current vulnerable sector check (VSC)
• Current Standard CPR level C certificate
• Availability to workdays OR eveningsand every other weekend
• This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement
