POSITION TITLE: Permanent Substitute
QUALIFICATIONS: Substitute Certification
LOCATION: MELC
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Permanent Substitute Teacher is responsible for providing classroom instruction in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring continuity of learning, and maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment. This role includes delivering lesson plans, managing student behavior, assessing student progress, and supporting the educational goals of the school district. The substitute teacher will also collaborate with school staff, communicate effectively with students, and maintain a safe, respectful, and orderly environment. Flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to adapt to various classroom settings are essential for success in this position.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 9 Month Employment
Salary and work year to be established by the Board.
Background clearance required; the results of which must be satisfactory to the District.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel.
