Job summary

Pleasantdale School in Estevan, SK is seeking a reliable caretaker to maintain facilities, perform cleaning and basic maintenance, and operate grounds equipment as needed.

The position follows the SEIU-West Collective Agreement with a starting wage of $24.14/hour, plus full benefits and an employer-defined pension plan. Start date: October 26, 2026; hours are 40 per week on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Grade 10 (Grade 12 or equivalent preferred).
• Experience in caretaking is an asset.
• Must have the ability to operate tractors, mowers, and equipment safely.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, products and equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of WHMIS and applicable software is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10 education (Grade 12 or equivalent is preferred)
• Valid Fireman's Certificate is an asset but not required
• Valid Driver's License
• Direct experience in the caretaking field would be considered an asset
• Demonstrated understanding of cleaning procedures, cleaning processes, products and equipment is preferred
• General mechanical/plumbing knowledge and aptitude
• Must have the ability to operate tractors, mowers, and equipment efficiently and safely
• Knowledge of computers and applicable software
• Knowledge of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
• Commitment to the ideals of public education as well as the mission, vision and guiding principles of the South East Cornerstone School Division

Salary & Benefits

Salary and benefits are in accordance with the currently negotiated SEIU-West Collective Agreement as listed on our website . The starting wage for this position is currently $24.14/hour along with a full benefit package and an employer defined pension plan.
