Job summary

Parkland School Division No 70 Centre for Education seeks a part-time caretaker at Hillcrest School in Estevan, SK. The role covers roughly 10 hours per week, with a start date as soon as possible.

Starting wage is $23.49/hour with a full benefit package and a defined pension plan as per SEIU-West agreement. The successful candidate must hold at least Grade 10 education (Grade 12 or equivalent preferred), have a valid driver’s license, and demonstrate knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10 education (Grade 12 or equivalent preferred)
• Direct experience in caretaking would be asset
• Cleaning procedures, products and equipment understanding preferred
• General mechanical/plumbing knowledge and aptitude
• Must operate tractors, mowers and equipment safely and efficiently
• Knowledge of computers and applicable software
• Knowledge of WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)

Hours of Work:

Equivalent to2 hours per day, 10hours per week

Duties are outlined in the attached job description.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Grade 10 education (Grade 12 or equivalent is preferred)
• Valid Fireman's Certificate is an asset but not required
• Valid Driver's License
• Direct experience in the caretaking field would be considered an asset
• Demonstrated understanding of cleaning procedures, cleaning processes, products and equipment is preferred
• General mechanical/plumbing knowledge and aptitude
• Must have the ability to operate tractors, mowers, and equipment efficiently and safely
• Knowledge of computers and applicable software
• Knowledge of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
• Commitment to the ideals of public education as well as the mission, vision and guiding principles of the South East Cornerstone School Division

Salary & Benefits:

Salary and benefits are in accordance with the currently negotiated SEIU-West Collective Agreement as listed on our website www.secpsd.ca. The starting wage for this position is currently $23.49/hour along with a full benefit package and an employer defined pension plan.
