Job summary

South East Cornerstone Public School Division is inviting applications for casual Caretakers in each of our schools. The successful candidates will contribute to a clean and safe educational environment and support the division's mission and guiding principles.

Duties include cleaning and minor maintenance of assigned facilities, with responsibilities aligned to the job description. Applicants should have a valid driver’s license and related caretaking experience where possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10 education (Grade 12 or equivalent preferred).
• Valid Fireman's Certificate preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Direct experience in caretaking would be an asset.
• Demonstrated understanding of cleaning procedures, products and equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of computers and applicable software.
• Knowledge of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).
• Commitment to the ideals of public education and SE Cornerstone School Division.

Responsibilities

• Clean and perform minor maintenance to ensure safe operation of the facility.
• Carry out duties outlined in the caretaking job description.
• Adhere to cleaning procedures and safety standards.
