Job summary

111013 ParaMed Inc. is seeking a Pediatric Nurse for a school-based setting with scheduled shifts. This casual position requires travel within the Waterloo Wellington Region during school hours to care for pediatric patients with varying needs.

Job Description This is a new vacancy. In this nursing role, as a Pediatric Nurse you will have scheduled shifts to care for patients in a school setting. You will work with patients within pediatric ages with differing complexity of care needs and play a key role in helping patients remain comfortable. This is a Casual position requiring travel anywhere within the Waterloo Wellington Region during school hours.

What you’ll do

• Using appropriate assessment tools/techniques to assess patients' individualized needs
• Executing and continuously monitor care plans
• Engaging patients using a collaborative approach by building rapport and trust
• Maintaining and update professional patient records related to patient encounters and plans

What you bring

• Registration with the CNO as a Nurse in good standing
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is required
• Experience in Pediatric care is mandatory
• Experience in delivering community care is an asset
• Clinical skills in gastric feed, tracheostomy, and ventilation care strongly preferred
• Reliability and flexibility
• Willingness to travel to and from patient residences within a designated area
• Passion for making a difference in your community
• Required on-call coverage, including after hours to ensure patient safety and to meet patient care needs
