Job summary

Bird Construction is seeking an Hourly Payroll Administrator to process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for corporate functions. Based in Winnipeg or Edmonton, you will handle changes, terminations, and month-end reporting, while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.

You will collaborate with staff and management, prepare ROEs, support audits, and maintain strong data integrity across payroll processes.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years payroll experience processing the full payroll cycle.
• PCP designation and in-house payroll system experience are an asset.
• Efficient in Excel and data processing; able to handle confidential information.
• Strong communication skills, customer service oriented, and a team player.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process weekly and bi-weekly hourly payroll.
• Handle pay calculations for new hires, changes and terminations.
• Prepare month end reports and year-end reporting.
• Liaise with staff and management on payroll inquiries.
• Prepare ROEs using ROE Web and reconcile records.
• Assist audits and maintain payroll confidentiality.
• Perform payroll administrative tasks as required.
