Job summary

Bird Construction is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to join our Finance team. The role supports our Shared Services department and reports to the Accounts Payable Manager, with duties based in Edmonton or Winnipeg offices.

You will oversee invoice validation, employee expense management, card reconciliation and payroll-related payables while collaborating with district AP teams and corporate business units to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of accounts payable experience.
• Strong Excel and financial systems knowledge.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and audit invoices from district offices for accuracy and coding.
• Audit employee expense reports submitted through Concur and GL coding.
• Reconcile corporate credit cards and investigate discrepancies.
• Enter payroll-related invoices and prepare timely payments.
• Provide training and support to district AP teams.
• Collaborate with corporate units on AP processes and reporting.
• Coordinate weekly courier packs and cheque mailing with confidentiality.
• Uphold confidentiality of financial and employee information.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to stakeholders.
• Support special projects and process improvements.
