Job description

Are you a payroll pro with a passion for precision and a knack for navigating numbers? We’re looking for a sharp, detail-driven Payroll Administrator to join our client's team on a contract basis. In this role, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, every time. Responsibilities
  1. Process payroll for [number] employees on a [weekly/bi-weekly/monthly] basis.
  2. Maintain and update payroll records and employee data (new hires, terminations, salary changes, etc.).
  3. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies regarding wages, taxes, and reporting.
  4. Calculate and issue wages, deductions, bonuses, and commissions accurately.
  5. Manage employee benefits deductions and coordinate with HR for updates.
  6. Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
  7. Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and regulations.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator, Payroll Clerk, or similar role.
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday, SAP, QuickBooks).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools.
  • Excellent organizational and numerical skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred.
  • Payroll certification (e.g., FPC, CPP, PCP) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in payroll administration.
