Job summary

Push Operations in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Payroll Accounting Assistant to join our Canadian Operations team. In this role you will support clients with payroll inquiries and help ensure accurate payroll processing for our growing client base.

The position is full-time, in-person at our Vancouver office, with salary between CAD 46,000 and 48,000 per year. Ideal candidates have accounting training and at least one year of experience, including payroll exposure.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of accounting experience (payroll experience is preferred).
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting.
• Extremely proficient with MS Word and MS Excel.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze challenges proactively.
• Understanding of handling confidential information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with payroll inquiries via email.
• Prepare payment files for clients and vendors.
• Test payroll inputs against expected results for onboarding data accuracy.
• Assist with ROEs and T4s.
• Assist in preparation and submission of government remittance payments.
• Take on any new duties as they arise.
